The Legendary Ride Meets The Latest In Technology

The All-New Regulator 28 FS

SPEC BUTTON

8.17.2010

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

August 17, Edenton NC – Regulator Marine announced today that they are introducing a completely new boat that combines the classic fishability of the venerable Regulator 26 and the latest in fishing innovations available today. Designed by the renowned naval architect Lou Codega, the all-new Regulator 28 FS incorporates a traditional transom bracket set on a hull that has an LOA of 27’ 7.5” and a beam of 9’ 5” making Regulator 28 one of the largest boats in its class.

“A transom bracket takes full advantage of the sharp bow entry and deep-vee hull design,” commented designer Lou Codega. “With the 24 degree deadrise ahead of the powerful twin Yamaha F300’s, the boat offers an exceptionally soft ride with a top speeds in excess of 60 mph while offering extraordinary efficiencies.”

Regulator chose to power the new 28 FS with twin Yamaha F300 4-stroke V6 motors. This power choice represents Yamaha’s latest entry in the offshore outboard market. Yamaha claims these motors are lighter, offer more acceleration and better fuel efficiencies than any outboard in its class.

Regulator 28 incorporates a flush deck for unobstructed fish-fighting egress of the entire cockpit area, forward and aft. There is plenty of storage a large in-deck lighted fishbox that doubles as a lockable rod storage area. In addition there is over 270 quarts of fishbox/stowage in the transom and over 275 quarts under the forward seating.

Other features include 6’ 6” headroom in the console interior with electric marine head as well as battery and electronics access panels. The integrated seating in the forward console is lower to accommodate passenger comfort and improve the operator’s forward vision. All while concealing a 74 quart insulated drink box which drains overboard.

“The challenge was to keep what worked with our most popular model, the Regulator 26, including all the improvements in its 21 year production run, and apply the innovations of our latest models. Innovations like the fold-up transom seating of the Regulator 34, and combine these features with new ideas from our loyal owners to create a significantly better fishing platform.” Explained Regulator Co-Founder Owen Maxwell. “Essentially, taking the tried and true and moving it towards what is new and better.”

For safety and comfort Regulator designed the forward seating to be lower and incorporated integrated handrails, angled for better grip, in the deck-cap. Regulator also completely redesigned the console dash with EZ View electronics face and Command Link® Plus engine controls featuring 5-color LCD displays and push button start/stop.

“This boat combines the good looks, superior fit and finish and exceptional quality that all sport fishing enthusiasts have come to expect from Regulator with the latest in today’s offshore technologies,” said Regulator President & Co-Founder, Joan Maxwell. “Most important to me, it continues the legacy of Regulator’s legendary soft ride. There will be no confusion, everyone will recognize the fact that our new 28 FS is most definitely a Regulator to its core.”

Regulator’s line of 23’- to 34’-foot offshore sportfishing boats are highly recognized for quality craftsmanship and rugged durability. The company is a seven-time recipient of the National Marine Manufacturer Association’s Marine Industry CSI Award for customer satisfaction in the Fiberglass Outboard Boats category. CHAOS 16 BONEFISH EDITION

CHAOS 21 TARPON BAY

Chaos Boats represent the finest quality and performance found in shallow water fishing boats. Many builders claim such ideas. As acknowledged by veteran boaters, anglers, boat dealers, and boating industry leaders, Chaos Boats have the highest degree of fit and finish, structural integrity, and shallow water / rough water performance available today from any builder anywhere in the world.

Each boat is painstakingly hand crafted with an attention to detail that could be considered fanatical. We take great pride in knowing that each Chaos Boat built will provide its’ owner with years of pride of ownership as well as unforgettable boating and fishing experiences.

One look at Chaos Boats and you will see for yourself that only the highest quality components are installed by the most skilled and conscientious craftsmen.

The genuine Carolina hull design with substantial flare forward that transitions into generous tumblehome aft with an integrated rub strake requires hours of hand finishing by our North Carolina craftsmen due to the complex mold assemblies required to create such exotic shapes. Others in the industry allude to these shapes in their marketing language, but do not have the skill or desire to put forth the design and building effort to create the real thing. If you want an imitation, buy their boat.

If you are passionate about the ownership of a true Carolina boat, and you are looking for a true flats boat, an honest bay boat, or a quality yacht tender, Chaos Boats epitomize this class and are the only choice.

Ride. Everyone talks about the performance and awesome ride characteristics of their boats and we could do the same, like kids in a school yard each claiming they hit the ball further or harder.

It has been said that “Form Follows Function” and while we agree, we also believe that “Function Follows Form”. The Carolina bow flare is as attractive as it is functional in providing an integral spray deflector as well as creating an oversized bow casting area. The Carolina aft tumblehome flows aesthetically while providing a wider beam surface aft which creates additional stability at rest as well as more lift in order to “jump” on plane in shallow water.

Rough water. Skinny water. Shallow draft. Fishability in all conditions. Enviable Stylishness. Carolina Craftsmanship. Boats of Integrity.

The Center Console that Sets the Standard

It’s a bluewater fishing machine that meets the demands of sportsmen who desire superior performance and reliability in a rugged, well built center console boat. Based on a deep-V design from award-winning architect Lou Codega, the 29 FS was built around its power plant – a pair of Yamaha F250 4-stroke engines – delivering all the hardcore performance required.

A focal point of the 29 FS is the helm that offers a full-array of electronics storage and wiring access from inside the console. The console unit also provides a marine toilet with generous 6’3” headroom, featuring a completely finished fiberglass interior. The aft cockpit is wide open and clean, with ample room for your crew to fish and work together.

Storage space is plentiful aboard the 29 FS with a 520-quart, insulated fishbox situated center and forward in the cockpit that doubles for an eight-unit rod locker. The 200-quart insulated lockers that flank either side can be used for fish boxes or dry storage. In addition, there’s a 64-quart beverage cooler tucked beneath the forward console seat, and moving aft, two side lockers that each hold a five-gallon bucket.

Sure-to-please options include the new bright dipped anodized or optional white power coated T-top frame and rocket launchers, new fiberglass top with integrated spreader lights with LED lighting built in, plus optional 16-foot Lee® Sidewinder outriggers and an add-on five-rod rocket launcher.
