For the fourth consecutive year, we have earned the Grady-White Admiral’s Circle Award. Take a look at the press release issued by Grady-White Boats earlier this week:
GREENVILLE, NC: Atlantic Marine of Wrightsville Beach, NC has been awarded membership in the Grady-White Boats Admiral’s Circle for the model year 2014, in recognition of exceptional achievement in both sales and customer service. Atlantic Marine will receive their award at the company’s Sales Conference to be held in Greenville, NC in December of this year.
Admiral’s Circle membership is reserved for the top dealerships in the Grady-White network that have achieved at least $2 million in retail sales for the model year plus have earned Grady-White’s Customer Service Excellence award with customer satisfaction index scores of at least a 9.5 on a 10 point scale as rated in actual customer surveys. This is the fourth consecutive year that Atlantic Marine has earned this accolade.
“Atlantic Marine has proven their dedication to their customers by demonstrating exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of the sales and service experience.” stated Joey Weller, Grady-White’s Vice President of Sales. “Grady-White is very pleased and honored to have Atlantic Marine representing our brand. Their expertise in our fine products along with providing incredible service for their customers sets a standard that other dealers strive to replicate.” said Weller.
Established in 1959, Grady-White manufactures a variety of versatile, high quality center console, dual console, express and walkaround cuddy cabin sportfishing and coastal family boats from 18 to 37 feet. Grady-White boats are built by craftsmanship and designed through customer input and a longstanding, sincere focus on attention to detail.
Ever wonder how we move the big Grady-Whites and Chris-Crafts into our showroom? It starts when a new boat is delivered to the beach. First, the boat is off loaded from the shipping company’s truck using one or two of our Taylor Admiral forklifts.
Next, the boat is prepped, motors are oiled, propellers are installed, batteries are installed or tested, and all systems are tested. Then, using a forklift, the boat is loaded onto a roller trailer. This is a trailer with a series of rubber rollers mounted on multiple articulating arms that allow the rollers to form the shape of the boat. The boat is delivered to the showroom, and rolled off of the trailer using an electric winch, onto a set of dollies.
Then, using a battery operated lift, the boat is pulled to its final display location, shore power is connected to provide power to accessories, and a set of stairs is positioned to allow easy boarding of the vessel.
Watch this time lapse as a 2015 Grady-White 307 Enters the showroom:
Atlantic Marine is pleased to once again sponsor the Legends of Tennis charity exhibition this year, held this weekend, September 19th and 20th. The Landfall Foundation has announced American tennis superstar Lindsay Davenport will headline this year’s Legends of Tennis charity exhibition event hosted at the Country Club of Landfall’s Drysdale Sports Center complex. Proceeds from Legends of Tennis will go directly the Landfall Foundation’s grants programs to assist in awarding grants to local non-profits from the greater Wilmington area.
Davenport is one of the most accomplished American tennis players of the Open era with three Grand Slam Championships in singles; US Open (1998), Wimbledon (1999) and the Australian Open (2000), and three Grand Slam Championships in doubles; French Open (1996), US Open (1997) and Wimbledon (1999). Davenport won 55 WTA Tour Titles in singles and 38 WTA Tour Titles in doubles, is tied for seventh on most tour title wins of all time, is an Olympic Gold Medalist and was the first player to surpass the $22 Million Dollar mark in prize money, taking the honor from legendary player Steffi Graf.
Joining Davenport are returning players: Australian, Rennae Stubbs who won four Grand Slam doubles titles and over 60 WTA doubles tour titles, Jimmy Arias, once ranked as high as number five in the world, and Mikael Pernfors of Sweden who played in the French Open and Davis Cup finals.
Legends play will include singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. Look for the Grady-White and Chris-Craft boats around the court!
Please join us in welcoming Chris Camp to our sales team at Atlantic Marine. After growing up the son of thirty-four year veteran employee of Grady-White Boats, Chris left Winterville, North Carolina to attend school at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. While earning his B.S. in Business Administration from the Cameron School of Business, Chris spent a lot time around the Atlantic Marine docks. After graduating, he left Wilmington to begin his career. A few short years later, Chris was encouraged by his father, Steve Camp, to explore the opportunity to come to work with us. Chris is excited to be back in the community and still enjoys fishing, hunting, and being on the water, preferably, he says, with his yellow lab, Hattie.
Chris’s youth and energy will be a tremendous asset to our organization, and it doesn’t hurt that Grady-White already runs in his blood. Chris, welcome to the team!
Join us for a demo day this Saturday, June 14, from 10:00am until 2:00pm at our docks on Wrightsville Beach.
