Please join us in welcoming Chris Camp to our sales team at Atlantic Marine. After growing up the son of thirty-four year veteran employee of Grady-White Boats, Chris left Winterville, North Carolina to attend school at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. While earning his B.S. in Business Administration from the Cameron School of Business, Chris spent a lot time around the Atlantic Marine docks. After graduating, he left Wilmington to begin his career. A few short years later, Chris was encouraged by his father, Steve Camp, to explore the opportunity to come to work with us. Chris is excited to be back in the community and still enjoys fishing, hunting, and being on the water, preferably, he says, with his yellow lab, Hattie.
Chris’s youth and energy will be a tremendous asset to our organization, and it doesn’t hurt that Grady-White already runs in his blood. Chris, welcome to the team!
Join us for a demo day this Saturday, June 14, from 10:00am until 2:00pm at our docks on Wrightsville Beach. We’ll have special incentive pricing on our current inventory of new 2014 Grady-White and Chris-Craft boats. Take this opportunity to help us liquidate our current inventory to make room for boats that are in production now for the new showroom.
If there is a specific boat you or your family would like to demo, contact your sales representative and let him know. We’ll be sure to have that boat in the water when you arrive. Brent Floyd, Dallas McElheney, Jim Sharpe, and Tom Harris are ready for a boat ride with you. Click here for their direct contact information.
As always, we’ll be cooking out. Don’t miss out on the burgers, pork chop sandwiches, and chicken wings. We look forward to seeing you Saturday!
Many of you have seen the Wrightsville Beach “Happy” video produced by Ned Leary, local photographer. Watch closely and you’ll spot some of our staff dancing to Pharrell Williams hit song, Happy. Visit www.nedleary.com for more information on Ned and his incredible local work. Enjoy!
Crews aboard the E.W. Ellefsen cutterhead dredge began the beach renourishment project in late April, and the project has been completed. Crews moved over 775,000 cubic yards of sand from the south end of the island, new Masonboro Inlet, to a stretch of Wrightsville Beach coastline from the Blockade Runner to the Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort, north of Johnnie Mercer’s Pier.
The project cost approximately $9 million, according to Bob Keistler, a project manager for the Army Corps of Engineers, and will be needed again in four years.
Enjoy these photographs of the progress from local photographers.

We have two Chaos Custom-Carolina boats currently in production scheduled for a July delivery as the very first 2015 models! Call now for details and the possibility of options and colors within the next few days.
Our showroom is slated for a mid-summer opening. That means we’ve got until July 1st to sell our current inventory and make way for the new boats on the way from Grady-White and Chris-Craft.
Take advantage of the Grady-White promotion offering an additional $1,000 to $15,000 in discount on new Grady-White’s in stock. In addition to that, Atlantic Marine is DOUBLING the discount to $2,000 to $30,000.
Our in stock Chris-Craft 23 Catalinas have been discounted an additional $4,000 and our 29 Catalina an additional $10,000.
In addition to the Grady-White, Chris-Craft, and Atlantic Marine additional discounting, we’re arranging financing in house with terms of 10, 12, 15 and 20 years. Fixed rates are as low as 4.99%, and some even lower for our larger Grady-White and Chris-Craft models.
The price is right, the terms are right, and the weather is finally right! Come see us today and let us help you have your best boat ownership experience.
Additional discounts depend up on the model purchased. See your Atlantic Marine sales team for more details. We’re making a serious effort to clear out inventory before moving to our showroom.
We wanted to share some photos of our progress on the new boat showroom. This week crews are hanging sheetrock, glass installation continues, the exterior siding is getting its first coat of paint, the HVAC ductwork is going in, and parking lot construction has begun. Follow us on Facebook to stay current on the updates.
We look forward to announcing our Grand Opening next month.
We’re excited to announce the latest addition to our award winning service team, Cole Korostynski. Cole comes to us from Quality Boats of Clearwater, Florida, another top Grady-White dealership.
A North Carolina native, Cole grew up in Knightdale. Cole moved to Wilmington and enrolled in Cape Fear Community College’s boat building program. When he graduated in 2008, Cole went to work for Caison Yachts. After a few years working with Donny Caison, Cole furthered his education through the Marine Mechanics Institute and Yamaha Marine University.
Cole has education and experience with service and diagnostics on Yamaha and Volvo Penta engines as well as Garmin and Raymarine electronics. Currently Cole is pursuing a path to becoming a Yamaha Master Technician. Once he succeeds, he will be one of three Master Techs on staff at Atlantic Marine.
In his spare time, Cole enjoys riding his motorcycle and spending time with his girlfriend, Lindsey, and his dogs Boston, Laila, and Ty. We’re looking forward to a busy summer and are glad Cole has joined us!
Are you looking for a little more confidence out on the water this summer? The Cape Fear Sail and Power Squadron is holding a safe boating course beginning May 3. This course is unique in that it is one of the few that incorporates hands on learning on the water, in addition to the classroom training.
The course begins with an eight hour certifications class, America’s Boating Course®. Approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators and recognized by the USCG this class satisfies the North Carolina boating safety education requirement.
The next step of the course is local knowledge. Local boaters with years of experience will explain the local waters, including the Intercostal Waterway, Masonboro Inlet, and the Cape Fear River. You’ll learn about local tides, currents, and prevailing weather conditions. You’ll learn about marker placement and how to read markers.
The third segment is a three hour on-the-water training cruise. This experience is invaluable to young boaters and those new to the area. This helps in applying the classroom knowledge to our local waters.
For more information or to enroll in the next course, visit www.capefearboatingcourse.org or email email@example.com.
Atlantic Marine recommends this course for young boaters, new boaters, and those new to this area.

Don’t see the specific service you’d like preformed? There’s a section for you to leave our service managers specific instructions. You can also indicate for us to pick up or drop off your boat. As we continue maintain ever advancing Yamaha Outboard technology, our two Yamaha Master Techs, Brian Smith and Jody Lang, attended Yamaha Helm Master school in Kennesaw, Georgia this winter. Brain and Jody were certified in this new technology as we are beginning to stock and sell more inventory with Yamaha’s all new joy stick control system, Helm Master.
Other areas of preparation for a busy spring included a staff trip to the Grady-White factory. The face to face meetings and interaction with plant staff was invaluable to our team. It was an excellent opportunity for our staff here to meet with their Grady counterparts and discuss issues and solutions. See photos from our trip below.
